Daphne Clarke
Attorney Daphne Clarke, founder of Clarke Entertainment Law is the first in her family to attend college. She graduated from Brown University, having majored in Pre-medicine, English and Secondary Education. While at Brown, she was a music director for a successful radio station. She interviewed established recording artists such as Lauryn Hill and fell in love with the music industry. After graduation she decided to pursue her passion for helping artists and entrepreneurs in music. She chose to attend the University of Chapel Hill- School of Law. During her first year of law school, while her peers discussed working for others, she began to work on her dream to own her entertainment law firm. She was “hungry” the way in which most music entrepreneurs and artists are well familiar. Despite all perceived obstacles--launching a law firm that would only specialize in entertainment law, and launching it out of law school--Attorney Clarke has launched a successful law firm that continues to break new ground. She has earned and established credibility among music executives, artists and professionals. She has been featured in Billboard Magazine, she has graced the covers of the two Lawyer Weekly publications, and is asked to speak at colleges, music conferences, bar associations, and law schools across the country.
